It’s once again time for Advent of Code.

Go sure was fun last year, and a great language. It keeps reminding me of C in it’s more simple syntax and lack of magic tricks.

This years choice falls on C#, mostly because I’ve been messing around with .net core and core for a few months.

To me it seems like .net is going the node.js route, lots of small pluggable libraries instead of the big magical “frameworks” they usually spit out. The development effort these days also seem to be very much community-based.

Moreover the embrace on multiplatform and docker seems to be a huge step in the right direction. The build anywhere, run anywhere concept.

Most of my daily work is still in python, which I like to try non-interpreted, non-dynamic languages whenever possible.

My implementations for this years Advent of Code can be found on Github as per usual.
